Kona

Kona is a 8 month old black lab mix weighing 26 pounds. She currently lives in Hohenfels. Her previous owner said the following, “She is very obedient knows to sit when told, very patient when told to be patient. Loves to play with plastic bottles! Very calm when she is alone.”

A PRS volunteer working with Kona had this to say; “Kona is an amazingly intelligent and loyal pup. At only four months old she has been through so much but yet always has her tail wagging. She loves every person we meet on our walks. She also learns incredibly quickly. She knows how to sit, which toys to play with, and to run to her kennel for dinner. We are teaching her to walk on our left and not to pull. In just two days she is already almost there. However, a moth is an easy distraction for her while walking, but, she is a puppy after all. Around other dogs she is a little timid at first but warms up rather quickly. She got along with our current dog after just one short walk together. She’s the perfect travel companion- she will lay down and sleep almost instantly. She also is just the right amount of energy. We take her on an hour walk and a few other little walks during the day. Just with that she will be asleep by bedtime and tuckered out until late morning. She will definitely make the perfect adventure buddy. One of her biggest challenges is her separation anxiety. Anyone interested in adopting her will need to read up on how to overcome this obstacle together. Kona is an amazing puppy that will grow into an even more amazing dog. If you are looking for a dog that never leaves your side, gets excited when you’re home, learns quickly, will be your travel buddy, and will bring you more love than ever expected- Kona is your girl.”

The adoption donation is €50 plus the cost to spay her. *Applicants must have secure yard. More information regarding the rehoming process can be found here. More information regarding the adoption process can be found here.
